So you probably don’t know what viscosity is, right?
Viscosity is a fluid substance,and we did an amazing science race,between water,cooking oil,dishwashing soap,and Golden syrup! Which liquid do you think wins?
So the winner is…… water,then cooking oil,syrup next, and dishwashing last.
It’s confusing,because I thought syrup was last because of it´s substance,but then I realized that dishwashing soap had a thicker substance between the syrup,well that’s what I think!Why do you think syrup won?
We did poetry,similes,and metaphors this term,and it was awesome!
For poems I mostly did butterflies because of a NZ only creature, and it was called [Drumroll please!] a Boulder Copper Butterfly! On the poems we would add similes and metaphors,and it was cool!I can show you one of my poems! The poems for art ✨ Hope you liked it! Or did you??
Today, my amazing class and I did an awesome animation! My animation was about beautiful butterflies in a cool forest.🌳
Everyone else was super cool too! Oh!I forgot we had kind instructors that told us how to do it,and both of them are in a different amazing school [Belfast School]. Their name was….. Poppy and Piper we had to go to a place in our Chromebook called Google meet✨

Last Friday my class and I [also some other classes] went to…….Orana Park! Orana Park is a zoo filled with a lot of amazing and interesting animals! Let me tell you some of the things what we saw first were the Gorillas, and sadly people are cutting down their trees for a special metal that they’ve got inside.
So Gorillas are missing their habitat so recycle your old phones in recycle phone bins. After all that is soo cute we saw a baby Gibbon monkey🐒 swinging around its playground,and did you know that their feet are like hands! Let me tell you my favorite one!
It’s the……….Kiwi🥝the Kiwis have an interesting hunting habitat. They would hunt in the dark because of the pests that the humans brang when they came to the land,but before all that they had an enemy and its called the Haast Eagles. The Haast Eagles only hunt in the sky so Kiwis stay still like you when you’re playing Red light Green light! Kiwis stay still because the Eagles take their prey for their movements,so that why Kiwis stay still and hunt in the dark! That’s all I’m gonna tell you today! I’m gonna show you an amazing project photo that’s for the Kiwi,and one for the Gorilla.
Today an amazing olympic athlete,and her name is[DRUMROLL]Maddie Davidson,and she is a trampoline gymnast!
She is very good,you won’t believe it!! We saw her doing it and she was AWESOME,and she shared her story with us how she made it and cool things while she was traveling.
Once she sadly got stuck in an elevator,and she would get help in 2 hours but her competition was in 1 and a half hour😰.So she really got worried but her friend calmed her down,and later someone got her out and she successfully made it!😃She encouraged me to do better,even though I failed.Do you want to meet her?
Today and yesterday we did [Drumroll please!] the amazing Alliteration.What Alliteration means is doing a sentence that rhymes or start with the same letter! I’ll some you some fine alliterations!
Examples: Reymz stole Red rexy and slid in the rainbow,and made Riley mad which turned him into a Red Rex!
She sells sea shells in the seashore
For me I think alliteration is for describing or adding some fun in your writing, and you can get better at rhyming!Can you also make amazing alliterations?
This week my group talked about how the sidelines should be more kind.
Our group thought that, lots of people have been talking down to players or being unkind. A lot of people have seen multiple times people not being kind to young players. Lately players have been wanting to quit or seem down and upset.
So lets be more kind on the sidelines!Instead of complaining,lets be more encouraging,kind to make players be confident and get more strength from our compliments. So change that attitude for the team you’re rooting for,to make them be confident about their game. What would you do in this situation ?
In writing we did similes!So similes are about putting personification into a thing that’s technically not alive.
Example:My popsicle was melting in the sun,it was almost like it was sweating!
Making similes is fun to do in writing!You can also put personification in a noun!Another Example:The dog was shouting at me to give it treats!

This week my class and I did a slideshow in Canva with…….Meilani!What we had to do was make an awesome presentation about the meaning of Divisor,Quotient,Dividend and Remainder.It was so fun making the slideshow,and I learnt more!The words made me a little confused but now I got it!You can also learn about these words in our amazing slideshow,do you know these words?
There are Butterflies only in Canterbury!There are called Boulder Copper Butterflies they only exist in Canterbury and sadly their habitat gets destroyed by caterpillars,we thought all of them died but some survived and now let’s try and bring more of them back!Plus they only exist here,not many places.Would you like to see one face to face?
